Manche Iles Express

Manche Iles Express was established in April 2005 (in partnership with the Conseil Général de la Manche) with the desire to improve connections between the region of Normandy in northern France and the Channel Islands. Manche Iles Express has connections between Granville, Diélette and Barneville-Carteret in Normandy and the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.

Manche Iles Express operates 2 high speed catamarans, the Marin-Marie and Victor Hugo, and also the single-hull fast-ferry Tocqueville on its routes, each of which has comfortable seating and a bar.

    A comfortable trip
    • Jersey/St Helier to Sark with Manche Iles Express

Personally I can't get excited about a ferry trip, this one was fine, a smooth trip from Jersey to Sark. The only thing which would have been helpful to know beforehand is that if you're getting off at Sark, do remember to collect your luggage first, because none of the carriers on Sark can come on board to remove luggage, and none of the ferry staff advised us to take our own luggage with us before alighting on the quayside.
