Liverpool ferry port is located on the River Mersey close to Liverpool's famous waterfront. The city has long been home to a great and historic shipping port since the 12th century when it was granted a charter by King John.

Liverpool is a former European Capital of Culture, and has a wide variety of things to do both around the city centre and near the port area. Further along the bank of the Mersey, visitors will find Liverpool's famous waterfront, home to the Royal Liver building and the Cunard building. Closer to the city centre visitors will find art galleries and museums, along with shopping centres and restaurants, and of course many dedicated sites to Liverpool's most famous sons, the Beatles.

    Great service.
    • Liverpool to Dublin with P&O Irish Sea Ferries

We enjoyed two great crossings. The atmosphere on the ship is very quiet and relaxing. The onboard catering is excellent, and as the meals and hot drinks are included in the overall price, this route is good value. We booked a cabin on both crossings so we could shower and have a couple of hours sleep in readiness for our onward journey. We will definitely travel via this route again.

    • Dublin to Liverpool with P&O Irish Sea Ferries

Everything was very nice, would have been perfect if only there was a showering facility onboard without needing and having to book a cabin just to have a shower. I feel a shower is a basic need that should be made available to all passengers.

Not too happy about a booking fee of £10 for the £22 per person upgrade to Stena Plus.Otherwise pleasant journey and great staff.
