Stena Line is one of the world's leading ferry operators, it's freight route network being one of the largest in Europe.
Stena Line Freight - Driver Information:
From the UK mainland, services are offered across the Irish Sea between Cairnryan & Belfast with a crossing time of 2hrs and 15mins. There are up to four return sailings per day between Holyhead & Dublin taking 3hrs 15mins and 2 sailings a day between Fishguard & Rosslare taking 3hrs 30mins. There is also a seasonal high speed service (HSS) between Holyhead & Dun Laoghaire taking 2hrs, although in common with other HSS services, freight capacity is limited.
In 2011 Stena Line took over the DFDS Seaways Northern Irish routes and now offer services between Liverpool (Birkenhead) & Belfast and the freight-only ferry route between Heysham & Belfast.
The North Sea route between Harwich & Hook of Holland is served with two departures daily with a crossing time of 7hrs. The other North Sea routes are dedicated freight only services, the Harwich - Rotterdam route has a crossing time of 8hrs, between Killingholme & Hook of Holland there is an overnight service taking 11hrs.
Stena line also offer an extensive choice of Scandinavian routes, with services to Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They are also expanding on the Baltic Sea with the recent acquistion of five ferry routes between Sweden and Germany to Latvia.
Freight drivers onboard Stena Line's impressive fleet of vessels can benefit from a wide range of quality services. According to the specific vessel and route, there is a range of restaurants and bars, shops and entertainment. Meals are included for the main freight driver and a cabin berth is included on all overnight sailings.
